The University of Michigan Club of Los Angeles gave away two $2,500 scholarships in 2005 – one for academic excellence and one for leadership and service. 

We will be awarding scholarships in 2008.  To be eligible for the scholarships, you must be a Michigan student from Los Angeles registered for a full time classes for the Fall 2007 semester.  The application for this year’s awards will come out July 1st, 2007.  Please stay tuned to this page for more details.  Question?  Please e-mail lascholarship@umich.edu. 

CONTRIBUTE TO THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND 

Please help us grow the scholarship fund!  All gifts to the UM Club of LA scholarship fund are recognized by the University and are posted as part of your overall giving plan to the University.  In addition, all scholarship contributions are tax deductible for the current tax year if postmarked by December 31.

Contributing online:

Go to:  www.giving.umich.edu  and select Michigan Online Giving.

Note:  When you reach Step 3. “Please select a Fund” and do not find your fund on the list; simply enter “ Los Angeles Alumni Fund – 303394”  and the amount you want to contribute in the “Comments” box at the bottom of the page.

Contributing by Mail:

1. Write your check to the “University of Michigan”
2. Place our Scholarship Account Name and Number in the Memo section of your check. (see below).
